Ok, I have 2 pre-mattels that I am going to sell on e-bay. I am hoping that, between the two of them, I can get enough money to buy a signifigant portion of the new felicity collection.
My question is, when is the best time to sell them on e-bay? I know now is not too good because school is starting, and with the movie coming out I am not sure if people will be more into buying the freinds together or buying off e-bay, is around yule a better time?
There are lots of people here who are more knowledgable in selling on ebay and I have never done it yet, so I am looking for your advice

From selling other items... not AG... I would say Mid to late October or Late November after the movie.

Alot of people get on eBay to find a great deal for their Halloween costume and check other things out while they are there to get a head start on their Christmas shopping. The general hype about the movie should be rolling by then, making her an item of interest, especially if you focus on the PM aspect and that now even her dress is retired.

The other good time would be right after the movie is released. It's the Christmas crunch season and little (and big ) girls are going to be talking nothing but dolls and especially Felicity and Elizabeth. People will get online to try and find a bargin, and not realizing there was an older version, come across PM Felicity being sold. Again, the focus here would be giving lots of information about the fact that she is a retired version. Generally then, the collector in people kicks in. Especially in the midst of the movie and Christmas blitz.

But you are right... timing is important! Good Luck!

    thank you so much!!
I really hope they go to a good home, my one doll is very special.
It just means I need to wait, I want elizabeth and her collect as soon as it's released, patience is a virtue. Good learning experience!

I bumped this up because I was interested in the answer to this question, I am thinking of selling my PM Felicity also.

Last year I watched ebay during the holiday season and noticed that a couple of weeks before Christmas sales dropped down and then the week before Christmas they soared.

I would wait until Felicity comes back into the catalogue, and then sell her as "Pre-Mattel Felicity in retired Rose Garden dress" And if you're concerned you won't get what you want for her, put a reserve on it.
